Tour Description:
The Pelican Island circumnavigation offers a wonderful paddling experience, taking in both the river and channel.
The direction we travel will depend on the tide but you will experience both the calming serenity of the back channel and the faster flowing water of the more exposed main channel as we complete the circumnavigation. This contrast allows you to enjoy two different paddling experiences within the one tour.

Oyster Farm
While we are in the back channel we stop briefly at a working oyster farm. Here you will see the oysters growing in the baskets, and learn about some of the finer details of the industry.
Osprey Nest
Just near the oyster farm we are also able to stop at the nest of our resident Osprey, and at most times there is usually someone at home !
Dolphins and turtles are also possible , but of course cannot be guaranteed.
Please bring, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, towel and water.
